Whoever thought?

If you thought the foot on the left was broke---you were wrong. My foot is on the left---Sarah's on the right. Sarah BROKE her ankle on Monday, Aug. 11th. I sprained mine on Thurs the 14th. Sarah ended up with a boot cast and crutches. I ended up with an ACE wrap (later an ankle brace) and crutches. Sarah was finally able to bear weight on her boot cast the next Monday. I was able to get rid of my crutches the same day. Sarah never had any bruising, but looking at the picture---it appears that her foot has generalized swelling. Mine was very pretty. Bruising ended up on both sides of the ankle and all toes. Even up the side of my leg. The bruising is finally fading---10 days later. Still gets alittle swollen by bedtime. Sarah still uses ice at night.

If you are wondering how this all happened.........

Well, Sarah was putting her PJ's away after getting dressed, while listening to her iPod (to the "Happy Working Song" from Enchanted) and did a little leap. Came down wrong and that was it.

Me---After falling off the horse we lease (saddle slipped), I was walking her back to the house and twisted my ankle in a old, hard tractor rutt. Thankfully, my horse is very good and managed not to step on me after I fell in front of her.

That's the story. Hopefully it won't happen again were 2 people in this house are injured at the same time!
